  1. What CST and IST grade what you allocate yourself for this project? Justify your response.
  2. What could you do tonight that would improve your grade?
  3. What grade do you think your team will give you for teamwork? Why?
  4. Thinking about your presentation on Monday, what do you need to do to score an “A” grade? (hint: Look at the presentation skills). What could you do before Monday, to ensure you receive an “A”?

In this project i would allocate myself a high “B” grade or a low “A” grade, this is because the video my group has created is of high quality, also i have completed all my journals, included all need documents in my group folder and also tagged a few site on Diigo. Even though i am to have a set amount of sites tagged on Diigo , i still have time to do so and will be able to get a good grade as mentioned. To get a higher grade in this project i should go on to my Diigo acount and tag more sites. I believe my team members will give me a high mark for my teamwork as i have been fair to all the members and we have cooperated well in this project. I will give my team members a high mark in teamwork as well as they have done everything which needs to be done to get good teamwork mark. The presentation on Monday will be will be good, i believe that we will need to be confident and us palm cards or not cards to get good presentation marks. To ensure we receive an “A: we must look through the task rubric and check if we have done all the required tasks.

  1. What influences your values about issues relating to your life?
  2. Do you ever compare images/values presented by the media to those of the bible? If so why? If not why not?
  3. Has this project challenged you to examine your values? Why / Why not

Some issues that are shown by the media make me change my values, and some don’t. Usually the issues that make me change my values are those that are convincing and are presented well, the issues help me become a better person. At times issues portrayed in the media are similar to the events in the Bible. At times this does make me think that they are similar events and i do compare them to see the differences in the issues of that time and the issues now. The project we are working on know has helped me to think about my opinion on underage drinking, i have learnt alot in this topic helping me not to make the mistakes that others have.

How do you feel the media portrays social justice issues?

Has it been difficult to find articles on social justice issues why/why not?

Do you think that the media operates from a moral framework? Give evidence by using your research.

I believe that the media portrays social justice issues in a different way that it portrays other issues. It had been difficult for my group to decide on a social justice issue and has not been that difficult to find information on the issue we have chosen “The legal driving age”. I would think that the media rotates around a moral frame work because if they did not it would not be as easy to create stories which the public believes are reliable. I have shown this in my groups synopsis and other relivant research.

1. Open and read the “How to write a critique” document in the resources menu.Describe what is a critique.2. Outline the FOUR stages in a critique.3. Can a critique be positive? Discuss.

4. Critique the accuracy of the following articles:

The Beijing Olympics: Are They A Trap?

2-Year-Old Donkey Called Up To Pro Donkey Basketball League

Four stages that are used in a critique are:

· An introduction (which directs the reader’s attention to the publication and your response to it)

· A summary of the article

· Your analysis or critical commentary on the original text

· Your evaluation or conclusion

A critique may be positive or negative depending on how you critique the isuse/work, the language you use in the process and other factors which may vary which side of the issue you are on.

Critique on “The Beijing Olympics: Are They A Trap?”

The news clip on The Beijing Olympics being a trap is considered important too some because athletes from man countries around the world are going to these Olympics Games and it could be a concern. I beleive that this story is not accurate in its information and is a hoax created to make fun of The Olympic Games in China.

In this clip they have talked about The Chinese people to have been planning this for thousands of years, creating traps which they are calling Olympic venues and that they have stone soldiers which with magic turn real.

The importance of this clip is little, as it has no true ffacts on the Beijing games. The clip may be interpreted as humurous or even offensive by some. I believe that the clip was humurous, and that it is not in anyway telling the correct facts on the Beijing Games.

I also beleive that the message that the presenters of this clip are trying to portray is that Chinese people have been planning this for years and that they are going to trap everone at the opening ceremony.

Critique on “2-Year-Old Donkey Called Up To Pro Donkey Basketball League”

The story on this news clip that a two year old donkey has been called up to play pro donkey basketball may be important to follow this sport or to those whose created the news clip. I believe that the clip is not accurate becaues there is no Pro Donkey Basketball League, but is just a sport played by some.

In this cip the presenters have talked baout how the donkey named “Scraps” has been called up to play in the Pro Donkey Basketball League, it also says that Scraps is no ordinary donkey because he never fliches at the camera and runs to the correct ring.

The imporatnce of this clip may not be alot for many, but to those who play the sport and truely believe there is a Pro Donkey Basketball League. The clip may be interpreted as humurous to humans and inspiring to oher donkeys watching the news clip. I believe that the clip was humurous and a great story.

I beleive that this story has a message for other doneky and that is to follow your dreams to play in The Pro Donkey Basketball League, if any.

In conclusion, the accuracy of the story is not great as there is no Pro Donkey Basketball League and this is the only media showing this news, making it hard to beleive.

1. Describe two things that you have learnt during this lesson.

2. Outline three things you know about optical technologies.

3. Identify one aspect of the project you feel uncomfortable about and really need to know. Explain the best way this could be resolved.

During this lesson  have learnt how light can refract through clear object and how the refraction angle of incidence is different to the angle of refraction. I have also learnt how light can be used in many different ways such as relfection, refraction and even the bending of light. Three things i about optical intstuments are: They can be used to refract, bend and reflect light, They can be used to magnify and zoom up on objects and that they use mirrors and/or lenses to function. I feel uncomfortable about the practicals in this proejct and really need to know more aout them and what they are about.

1. Has your image of Jesus changed during the project? How or Why not?

2. What do you feel is the best way to portray an image of Jesus and why?

3. What have you enjoyed about the project so far and what would you do differently?

My image of Jesus is going i change from time to time, though not entirely. The work will change some of its aspects through the project. I think that the best way to portray Jesus in an image is to look inside yourself and draw what you think Jesus would look like. This is because it would be your own image, not anthers making it genuine. In this project i have enjoyed the journals and the fact the at they have used art in this subject as i have chosen art as an elective.
